Magadheera (Telugu: మగధీర) is a blockbuster 2009 Telugu language film directed by S.S. Rajamouli and produced by Allu Aravind. Ram Charan Teja plays the lead role along with Kajal Aggarwal while actors Srihari and Dev Gill play other prominent roles. Produced at a budget of INR 34,00,00,000 Rs, Magadheera is the costliest film produced in Telugu film industry. It features soundtrack and background music composed by M.M. Keeravani, cinematography by K.K. Senthil Kumar and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.
The story of the film is set in the 17th century, when Mughals ruled parts of North India. The film is about a warrior who protects the princess of his kingdom, only to be killed, and born again 400 years later to take his revenge on his enemy. The plot is based on reincarnation, a belief that after death, the soul will return in a new body.
This is Charan's second film, first being Chirutha, which was released in 2007. The film received extremely positive reviews from critics. The movie was a huge box office hit . This film will be dubbed and released into Tamil language as Mannadi Mannan
